Not sure where the time came from, but the on-line DSTV guide says the program starts at 17:00 not 19:00 on BBC Knowledge.

Different time zones, perhaps?

Could be. 17:00 SAST. Perhaps 19:00 Kenya time.

Also know that the DSTV Africa feed (downlinked from a different satellite) does not always run concurrently with the Southern Africa one, probably to align programs better with the central and west African time zones.

In fact, some channels on the Africa feed often have completely different programs scheduled compared with Southern Africa. Probably this is cost per viewer and distribution rights related. My brother who lives in Dar alleged this on a recent visit which upon research was found to be true. Some channels are missing, some programs never get shown there and several channels are not in HD that are present here and in HD.

Yes, I'm aware of some of the missing channels when I move between South Africa, Kenya and South Sudan. For a while we were watching in South Sudan on the Ugandan feed, and again there were different channels. Of course there are different channels of local news and one or two local language channels - you can't get the Afrikaans channels in most of Africa, and each country usually has several channels of its own local news programmes - but there are other mainstream channels which are not available.

Just watched Episode 2, about north west Africa. Not bad at all. Started at 18.00 East African time.
