China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Wins Zambia Railways Contract
China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, has entered into the contract for the modified engineering, procurement and construction - Rehabilitation and Upgrade Project of the Existing Railway in Zambia, with the Ministry of Transport and Communication Zambia.

This includes;

- The main line from Livingstone to Kafue Bridge 420.97km.
- The branch line from Livingstone to Mulobezi, 162.95km.
- The branch line from Masuku to Choma 64.34km

Zambia railway has a total length of 648.26km, with a track gage of 1,067mm, a designed passenger carriage with maximum speed of 118km/h, and a maximum speed of 80km/h for freight...
