It's a bit disappointing, though, to see the knee-jerk reaction from the prosecutor-general's office urging railway officials "to intervene immediately to massively reduce train speeds at railway crossings and coordinate train schedules according to reduced speeds." It ignores the fact that the vast majority of level crossing accidents are not caused by trains but by bad road vehicle drivers or careless pedestrians.
