Delhi: World's oldest steam engine 'Fairy Queen' to haul train once again

‘Fairy Queen’ to haul heritage train to Rewari from today

Fairy Queen was constructed by, Kitson, Thompson and Hewitson at Leeds, England, in 1855. When our beloved press say that it is the oldest functioning steam engine in the world, it would be more correct to qualify that as "the oldest functioning railway steam engine". The pumping engines at Crofton in Wiltshire, UK, are 200 years old and still going strong.
