Toyota Hilux Advert

Post by Dylan Knott »

Anyone know which locos were used for the new Toyota Hilux advert? I know one is Rovos Rail's 19D 3360.

Also some good scenes of the train crossing a bridge and running through the open countryside. Footplate crew even get a few lines!

Clif Petzer is the driver, but I haven't gotten his lines yet. I don't recognise the person in the cab with him but assume now he is one of Rovos's guys.

I saw the advert again tonight on DSTV. Does anybody know on which line(s) it was shot? Looked like it has some good photographic opportunities

Hi Aidan!

I too have seen the ad. From what I can see on the ad, the ad was shot in the Capital Park shed area, on that single line between the coal-stage area and stop-block, north-eastern side of the Park!

More-or-less the same spot where you took your "photo-gala" pictures that appear else-where on this forum.

There was addtional props used to create the advert scene, like the stop street and level crossing signs, ect>
