Friends of the Rail Forum

For various reasons (FOTR members but not general forum members can read the report in the members' operations section at http://www.friendsoftherail.com/phpBB2/ ... 439#p10439) we left Hercules without a full tender of water. 3117 only has a short tender, and consequently we found ourselves short of water on the return leg of our trip. A short halt at a fire hydrant at Pretoria North Station solved the problem.
