More pictures and text from Nathan Berelowitz, August 2007.

1. Shunt signal is at "45" and the route is indicated for running straight. The 19D is ready to run around her load at Witbank station.

2. Faded memories. The once proud nameboard stood witness to many steam hauled trains, and for a moment, the memories of the 15CA locomotives that once pounded these very rails is revived here. Reef Steamers beautifully restored 2056 has brought in a double header train from Capital Park, for the annual Witbank marathon. The Friends of the Rail class 19D was the lead loco.

3. Witbank depot CSAR coal stage is long out of use, and must look longingly at 15CA 2056, as she coals up from an alternate source.

4. Witbank shed comes to life. Friends of the Rail and Reef Steamers locos await their turn to coal from the coal grab, prior to the Witbank marathon Great Train race, the following day.
