NG15 No. 120 sold

The Welsh HIghland Heritage Railway has sold its ex-South African Railways NG15 No. 120 to a WHHR member.

The 2-8-2, constructed by Societe Anglo-Franco-Belge in 1949/1950, arrived at Gelert's Farm in 1994 and was dismantled for restoration but the project faltered. It was put up for sale in 2007.

The loco will be moved off-site for restoration but it is likely to return to operate on the WHHR as well as other railways.
