There was small floods in the free state earlyler this year, There was a bridge that washed away either near Van reenen or Harrismith, so Im guessing that or, there is not enough locomotives to operate this train. Yea, and It is a fantastic trip, one of my best routes.

Looking at the side shape and headlight style, It could be a E6xx E7xx or E8xx number??

There is also E1101 which is still used on a "road knowlege" train at Danskraal (ladysmith) painted in blue spoornet livery :) still see's regular main line service so to speak if you can call it that .. ;)

Hi guys, some Info of the transfer of these loco's TODAY 28Jan2011 on the Natal main line Cheers Should anyone wish to see them on the inaugural delivery trip to Koedoespoort Workshops for service trials, they are due to be hauled dead up the Natal Main Line this Friday, 28 January 2011 with empty ...

Maybe they scrapped the design from 3 different companies, as they lost out on the tender??

Hmmm, looking at the green, and muddy water, must be either Natal or Eastern cape..

They are arriving at Durban Harbour on Friday 21st January 2011, and will be offloaded on Saturday 22nd, so If anyone can sneak through security and get some pics, It would be nice. Not sure from where that will take the locos to, on a truck or rail.
