Rovos - blue coach

Photos of Rovos Rail! Photos should be 800x600 pixels, maximum size 130K. Very good ones will be moved to the Online Gallery, the rest will be pruned away after 14 days to conserve space. If you have photos of FOTR Engines and Stock, please post them in the FOTR Gallery in the Friends of the Rail Forum above.

Rovos - blue coach

Latest addition to the Rovos fleet. This new coach sent up from Port Elizabeth, and converted to a lounge car, looks like the next addition to his fleet. Although heavily rusted, and seemingly used as a plinthed restaurant car, the vehicle will soon be put back into running condition. Anyone know anything about this coach?

Hi, "RBCT" stands for Richards Bay Coal Terminal. On the cover of the book "Electric and Diesel Locomotives of South Africa" by Bernard Zurnamer is a picture of a Class 36 Diesel with the same RBCT logo on it's side so I think the coach was used by them some time ago. For what i'm not sure...

Nathan - can you get a set of full external pics - if it is not repainted......

May be a last change for a photographic record of this scheme.

I'll need to check out the Hercules site when I get back from Kenya and hopefully before Saturday, but I think we'll need some help there with non-specialist and fairly light tasks, eg painting. Tom and I are planning to spend most of Saturday there, but extra hands will be welcome.
