Coupled up amd creating vacuum, the two locomotives are ready to haul the freshly serviced coaches, for the charter group, out of Rovos yard, and onto the platform line. Soon the guests will be on board and enjoying the luxuries of Rovos train travel

"Right away", and the double header 19D and 25NC combination depart into the proverbial sunset, with a a late Rovos charter train to Mafeking (sic). The steam will work only as far as Centurion station, but is up grade all the way.

In the last light of day, the two locomotives stand at the head of their train, ready for departure. 19D 3360 and 25NC 3442 enjoy the last rays of the setting sun

Spot the difference. Easy, the front locomotive is ....hand fired! 3360 and 3442 ready to roll on a Rovos charter train. The huge form of the 25 class bunching up against the little "Dolly" outlined by the late afternoon winter sun
