Rovos sunset at Pyramid
25NC 3533 made a rare appearance at Pyramid on Saturday, hauluing a charter to Nylstroom as far as my local station. Here we see her in the late afternoon light, which filtered beautifully into the cab as she prepared to exchange with the 7E locomotive which brought the train from up north.

Couldn't believe my eyes this afternoon. Watched this one add about Twinsavers with a steamtrain and straight after they had the Edgars ad with Rovos loco! And they say nobody want's steam trains!

The Twinsavers ad was filmed at FOTR's Hermanstad depot. Apart from the external shot, the trains were not really moving. Just clever effects and passengers told to sway!

As you can see it was a really muddy and initially rainy day.
