Geoff Cooke Tour part II

Photos of Reefsteamers! Photos should be 800x600 pixels, maximum size 130K. Very good ones will be moved to the Online Gallery, the rest will be pruned away after 14 days to conserve space. If you have photos of FOTR Engines and Stock, please post them in the FOTR Gallery in the Friends of the Rail Forum above.

Geoff Cooke Tour part II

Post by Aidan McCarthy »

An important milestone during the Geoff Cooke visit was the first test steaming around the depot of 15F 3046 after having her boiler certficate renewed. 3046 is the first locomotive Reefsteamers worked on and see has had a complete rebuild from the ground up. She languished half completed for many years as other locomotives took priority. Currently she has some regulator problems and other small issues picked up during the test, once these are resolved she will be released on the mainline where she belongs.
