15. June 2008 - A start on the "top level" track

You will recall that this layout has two levels - one level completely hidden (which is the completed level shown in the previous post Number 14), a the second open level. In terms of the level laid the turnout for the first incline to the top was already placed, so the next steps were to......

1. Cut out the centres of the remaining baseboard - to allow access at a later date. This was duly done.

2. Unpin a complete loop of track and then lift this.

3. Place the elevation into the track loop and extend the incline up off the and continue lifting along the turnout extending to the top level.

4. As the top level was extended, build and raise the base.

The following pictures shown the first age of completion in terms of a general views. The next post will show some of the construction details involved.
