30. October 2008 - + Another level & spiral nears completion

Well, more work on the spiral has added another level. And around the spiral levels already completed, additional supports for scenery and infrastructure have also gone in.......

Photo 1 - Additional supports on the lower level.

Photo 2 - Additional supports on the lower level. The end of the spiral loop, which will now straighten out can be seen.

Photo 3 - General view. The importance of getting the track already laid smooth and trouble free can be seen - its going to be a tight squeeze if something derails underground. Remember all the re-rails put in near the points? The purpose of these now become clear.

Photo 4 - Side view of the beginning of the underground yard. Notice a lot more clearance has been left over the yard so things can be manipulated if necessary.

Photo 5 - Part of the profile for the hills can be seen here on the top of the formers over the yard.
