[Belgium] Short stop in Brussels - and two surprises

Photos of motive and rolling stock, stations, signals and anything else train related in the rest of Europe! Photos should be 800x600 pixels, maximum size 130K. Photos may be pruned to conserve space.

When I cam back on Sunday (09.09.2012) from Great Britain with the Eurostar, I had 1 hour time to take pictures in Brussels Midi (Zuid) before my Thalys left to Cologne.

Here is what I saw:
TVM 5511 and 5501 wait with running engines for the next job. TVM means Transmission Voie Machine. That means locos with that system may use high speed tracks. That is the explanation I became in another forum.

Then I saw something green yellow mirrored in a window. A closer view and the first surprise was perfect.
After I changed the platform I saw the second surprice.

First surprise:
SNCB 5404 - An old Nohab loco with very old cars.

Second surprise - A closer view to the other side of the train and there was a steam engine in operation:
In the distance - at the other end of the train - a staem loco.
