Kalk Bay - Part 2

Post by Andreas Umnus »

Here are now the next pictures I took in Kalk Bay.
Most pictures I took from the road side, but when I intended to leave Kalk Bay, there came just another train from Simons Town.
All pictures taken on Saturday the 28th October 2009.
I hope that the pictures not too boring.

Maybe there will be track works later because all the sleepers look like new.

Yes fantastic pictures, and yes to metrorail and Modern pictures.

Andreas that is a 10M3, the silver and blue set you photographed. Of interest, there is a new yellow stripe added with some writing on it. Alan Roy, any idea what is written on the yellow stripe?

I have seen that strip on one of the trains, its an advert for the big walk, not sure if its the same train. I dont get to see trains anymore, just a empty railway rusting away.

Alan, I hope yo will have an eye at the line and let us know when it will be reopen. So I was really lucky that I had traffic on the line when I was there.

The next part will show the Metrorail at Glencairn.
