Nigeria suspends Abuja-Kaduna train operations following rail track blast
Nigerian railway authorities on Thursday halted train operations on the Abuja-Kaduna corridor following a blast on the rail track along the route. The blast ruptured the track when a train was in motion on Wednesday, Fidet Okhiria, head of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), said in a statement. “Until the team that is investigating the matter comes with its report, we cannot confirm whether it is a bomb or not. But there was a blast,” Okhiria said. No passengers or train crew members have been reported injured in the incident...
