Looking at the last picture - the building looks very colonial English indeed - almost Anglo Indian in fact!

There's a whole row of railway buildings there which date from the colonial era, including of course the station itself and the railway headquarters. Most of them are looking a bit sorry for themselves, but they're still good examples of colonial architecture. Some are still used by various railway departments, others have been rented out, including the famous local restaurant named "Stomach Clinic". The food there isn't bad.
