World War II 'dragon's teeth' next to railway line

Riddle over World War II 'dragon's teeth' next to railway line
Long-lost World War Two tank traps known as "dragon's teeth" were revealed during bridge repair works. The objects - which are big pyramids of concrete - date from the early years of the war when fears of a Nazi invasion were very real. They are positioned in such a way as to block the route up the embankment to the railway line. The tank traps were rescued from the undergrowth near Stalbridge Avenue in Mossley Hill, where Network Rail is carrying out bridge work...
Growing up near the eastern extremities of London's Central Line I recall that similar tank traps were visible by the side of the line between Fairlop and Barkingside stations. Fairlop was a World War II fighter aerodrome, incidentally.
