Post by Gabor Kovacs »

Please Note:

From the 21st March to the 24th March (Easter Long Weekend) Centurion Society of Model Engineers (CSME) will be hosting on behalf of the Johannesburg Live Steam Club (JLSC), 2008 SA's National Live Stem Meet!

CSME will be hosting Model Engineers (MES) members from all over SA, and a reasonable MES will be expected from all over SA. There will be multitude of model locomotives (steam, petrol diesel and gas-fired) on display and running as well on the CSME's multi-gauge* ground level track. The event is open to the public and FOTR members as well. Hope to see you all there!
Certain locomotives, mainly large scale steam will be assigned to passenger hauling.

CSME's physical Address is;
Kwikkie Creasent
Zwartkops Ext's
(adjacent to: PAR 3 Golf Course)

To find the venue, drive into Centurion CBD, and look for the "Outsurance HQ" which is multi-story building easily visiable in the Centurion building sky-line. Drive towards the Outsurance HQ and CSME is located on the northern side of this building on the banks of the Hennops River, which flows away from Centurion Stad Shopping Centre. The best highway off ramp to use is the "Clubview Lyttelton" off-ramp on the N14 either towards or from Pretoria CBD.

See map for details:http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&g ... 4&t=h&z=17

Model Boat enthuiasts will also be partaking in the event as well. They got some interesting stuff there on occasions, as well!

Liquid refreshments and food will be sold at the event, otherwise brin your own, together with the family and a picnic basket and picnic gear! Braai fires will be providied for lunch, late afternoon, or eveving braaing!
