Refurbished or rejected?

Post by John Ashworth »

From the uk.railway newsgroup:

This morning the Trowbridge to Cardiff service is approaching Bristol Temple Meads. It is comprised of an ex Silverlink 150 (at the rear) and a First Great Western refurbished 158 at the front. The guard starts his announcement:

"We are now approaching Bristol Temple Meads where this train divides. The front two coaches (as we approach) will continue to
Weston Super Mare, the rear two coaches will form the Cardiff service. To clarify, if you are in the posh refurbished First Great
Western train, you will be going to Weston Super Mare, if you are in one of Ken Livingston's rejects, you will be going to Cardiff!"
