Apex Industrial diesels stored at Capital Park

Post by Mel Turner »

14 ex Australian locomotives were ferried from Durban to capital Park

6 have been purchased by Rovos Rail, GL26C DDDD2155-2159, plus G26C D1562

8 are due to be refurbished then exported

Does anyone have the numbers for the 2 parked at FOTR?

Any ideas where the other 6 are?

I took some photos of the CPK diesels a couple of days ago and will post them soon.

Have just gone through Apex’s list of available locos

The 5 DAZ G26C that were parked at the rear of Maydon Wharf have been deleted (suggesting sale outside of SA), they were in bond

Of the 8 units that went to Pretoria to be refreshed, only the 2 JL22C (NJ Class) still shown as available

Does anyone know where these 8 locos went after leaving Capital Park?

Any clues to the purchaser of the 6?
