Post by Dylan Knott »

Anyone know which airbrakes the class 32 diesels are fitted with? Is it 26L or B7EL?

Barned, please tell us all what is the difference between the two types of air-brake systems!

Sorry, I not much of a diesel fan, but would like to know!

Thank you!

The Australian Westinghouse B7EL and A7EL systems are older generation systems that saw their existence before the Westinghouse 26(L)A types which originates from the US. A lot of information is available on air brakes in general but when it comes to the individual systems it becomes difficult to find any conclusive information.
