Glory of a 15F

Post by Chris Janisch »

An American enthusiast remarked enthusiastically to me on the Geoff Cooke tour: "That 15F is a thing of beauty"!
Judge for yourself.

Well, Adelbert, after the osteopaths fix her con-rod, sew in a suture or two, apply some Band Aids and we dress her in a clean set of clothes, I am sure No 3117 will eventually be back on the tracks looking as good as ever and that Chris's next set of pics will be as dramatic as these two are.

In fact we were working on 3117 today. We placed her on the pit as someone from the museum will be coming to inspect her within the next few days. We also placed a couple of heavy jacks which Uncle John will use in the next day or two to release a chain which belongs to the recovery crew and apparently they want it back. It is currently holding up a damaged part - it will be replaced with one of our own chains.
