Saturday May 28th. Capital Park.

By now most “moveable” vehicles & locos had been moved over preceding weeks to Hermanstad. A handful of vehicles, a truckload of spares and an under restoration split from its tender 15CA are all that remains to make the 4km move over TFR. 24 No 3664 is shed pilot & waits to move across at 17.00 for the following days Cullinan train. Probably the last steam move out of FOTR Capital Park site. Driver Arrie Grundlingh, Fireman Peter Odell

Remaining vehicles wait to follow using Rovos HYS diesel on 29th.

In the view from the coal stage, Rovos coaches can be seen behind in the old “running shed” & Rovos will now expand into the FOTR site.
