4724: all-British

When I first arrived at the workshop this morning, 4724 was standing with an electrical fault. It was soon rectified, and later she was shunting around the works. Her British roots can be seen in the manufacturer's plate and the Rolls Royce engine.

Strangely, her steps have been painted in RVR green while the rest of the loco retains Kenya Railways colours.
