FoAr work day

Post by Stefan Andrzejewski »

WE had a great work day yesterday, all the brass in the cab was polished and some needed spots were painted. Hopefully we will be riding soon.

Steve the 11 December we have two trips around Cape Town. WE have to have two as the trip is circular and our 3655 will land up tender first. So the second trip is to get facing the right way. This will go down Mutual (towards Bellville), then loop around Maitland and back to town. On the Sunday we are heading out to Fish Hoek. Stack first and then back to Cape town Tender first. There is no place to turn around in Fish Hoek. Hopefully next year the line will be opened to Simons Town. We can do the full length of the line then, and in the future, Spier Stellenbosch, Darling. Malmesbury. There are so many places to go around here that are picturesque.

Hallo Stefan,

How does one go about booking/reserving seats on these trips? I would like to bring the family to town for the Sunday's trip, but can't seem to find it on the Atlantic Rail website.

Hallo Hansie and all, here is more information:
The Santa Special

For the children, Santa will be visiting with Atlantic Rail on 11 December and invites you to join him on one of his two Santa Specials. Santa will be handing out treats on board the train while it makes its way around Cape Town and surrounds. The trip will take just over an hour.

Departures of the Santa Special are at 11h00 and 14h30 on 11 December. Ticket prices are R70 for children under 12 and R110 for Adults. Contact us on info@atlanticrail.co.za for bookings and further information.

Cape Town to Fishhoek

On 12 December, Atlantic Rail will be running a trip from Cape Town to Fishhoek (return) departing Cape Town at 10h30 and later departing Fishhoek at 14h30 for the journey back. If any guests would like to be dropped off or collected at Kalk Bay station, then they must stipulate this when booking. This cannot be arranged on the day of departure as it has to be planned into the running time table, so let us know early.

Prices are R220 for Adults and R110 for Children 3 to 12.

We are currently rolling this info out to our mailing list. If you are on the mailing list, you will get a message about this shortly. Contact us on info@atlanticrail.co.za for bookings and further information.
