This steam crane is in the to-be-scrapped part of the works, but it appears to be intact and in remarkably good condition. The curator of the railway museum is aware of it and is trying to get it allocated to the museum. In the meantime we might just paint "Reserved for museum - do not cut" on it just to be on the safe side. The wagon on which the jib rests also seems to be quite old.

EAR No.1164 Ordered by Crown Agents for the Tangyanika Rlys. R&R works C6813-4/1926 , it was tested at Ipswich in June 1927 and entered service as TR no. 2962.
A 25 ton capacity self propelled steam breakdown crane on ten wheels ( six fixed and a four wheel bogie )
Stated as working most recently at Voi, possibly into 2000, and sent to Nairobi for works attention in 2001.
It was once stated as possibly to be refurbished by the Steam Restoration Team Volunteers.
