Ash Brothers used to be a customer of mine, they had one of our computers at their offices in Selby, and they had a largish model of a condensor in the foyer of their offices, it was the first time I had seen a condensor and had no clue what it actually was. Today I am wiser, but I wonder what happened to that beautiful model.

Ash Brothers was in severe decline when I used to go there, I did see: "Schenck Ash became the newest Schenck subsidiary when in 1999 Schenck Process bought 67.7% of Ash Brothers" and "Two years ago the company, formerly known as Ash Brothers, was bought by German firm Schenck, and has since concentrated on the mining sector." Methinks their ties to the railways have long been severed.

Never saw such a commuter train like that one on the brochure.
The issue is from May 1960. From when to when were these kind of
commuter trains in service?
What class they are (I mean compared with the commuters running now at Simonstown line - they are called 10M)
