Chas and Dave help boost train service

A DERBY train operator has teamed up with cockney singing duo Chas and Dave to promote its services to London.

East Midlands Trains, which operates services between Derby and London St Pancras International, has signed up the pair to help promote the company's online booking tool Best Fare Finder.

The duo, who have announced a series of tour dates over the coming year, are currently appearing on bill boards and in radio adverts throughout the region, encouraging people to travel to London with East Midlands Trains.

The firm's customer service and commercial director Neil Micklethwaite said: "We want to remind people that there's still plenty of great reasons to visit London."
