Some more picture courtesy of Adelbert Stigling - again at Bityi.

The first shows the driver Jan Bosch and Coal Trimmer Alphas working on the shine on the outside!

The next two are cab shots - noteworthy for the shine on the brass.

Again interesting shots with a lot of character!

Adelbert Stigling wrote:During my stay at Bityi in the Transkei from 1971 to 1974 CRB 14 No 2010 Opperated from Umtata to Butterworth with regular Driver Jan Bosch on the daily Passenger train to Amabele, his brother Nick Bosch was his guard and they returned with a goods load during the afternoon. Jan always cept 2010 immaculatly clean and shining. I do have photos of 2010 at that time but need some help to post them as I have not done it before.
The Driver is Nick and the Guard Jan, had it the wrong way round. Driver Nick is on pension and stays in George. The fireman is Philip Deneke, he later passed out as driver in Durban.
