Re: Repainted coach
The contractor who did this job is Goodwill, a Zimbabwean who lives near me and has done quite a bit of panelbeating on my cars( my wife's cars!). I took him down and he gave us a quote of R6000 labour per coach. Materials were sourced by Nathan, and I believe they came to about R3000, which the club paid. I then sponsored the labour cost and we decided to go ahead with the worst looking coach. All in all it seems like a good job was done and we would like to continue the project. We have some money coming in with the tourgroup and I would like to see the next coach started within the next 2 weeks, if we have the funds.

Re: Repainted coach
Well done and thank you, Chris. Looks great!!
Dylan, the colours are not exactly the SAR red/grey. The red has turned out a little too brown, but not as brown as the first coaches we painted many years ago. Still looks good though, so I am not complaining.

It's so good to see that double door finally painted. It has looked really scrappy for years.

I would like to take some pictures of Suburban swing door coaches. What would be a good day to visit? Are there still swing doors at both sites or only at the new one? Cheers

Re: Repainted coach
Craig, you may. We do charge a small fee for commercial photgraphers. The coaches are stabled at Hermanstad. We will need advance notice of when you intend to visit so that we can organise access and inform the person on duty there. Unfortunately the site is not manned every day.

He was there on Saturday taking photos. Thanks as he did call me at work to discuss.
