Kevin Patience wrote:As of this afternoon [Friday 2nd May] the loco 3020 is in steam in preparation for a run to Naivasha tomorrow for the ITV TV series on Railways in Africa with Griff Rhys Jones. The proposal is the loco, carriage and guards van will be towed by diesel through Kibera tomorrow morning at 6.30 and will then make its way in steam from probably Dagoretti to Naivasha with the crew and GRJ on board while a chopper flies overhead for some aerial shots of the loco going down the escarpment. The diesel leads out of shot just in case of problems. This is third of a five part program for the series due to be shown possibly later this year.
