TFR TO REDUCE LOCO TYPES TO FOUR
Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) aims to replace all locomotives aged 30 years or more within four years... the present 29 different types of loco are to be reduced eventually to four...

Interesting then what do they intend to end up with?

Class 43
Class 18E
Class 35

Unlikely - far more meat for TFR to sell the other types to industry than preserve them.

... and the 15E for the Orex line
