Railway Station, George, Western Cape

Post by Steve Appleton »

A few pics of the rather forelorn-looking old George Station building and this short article here on the Artifacts website:
The building is extant but no longer used as a railway station. The floods c 2010 caused a great deal of damage to the railway between Knysna and George, the cost of the repairs prevented the railway reopening and as a result the stations along the route have all closed. The station in George is now used as the bus station. (Gerald Humphrey 2016).
