Re: Zimbabwe Garratt in action
I realise now that this photo is from the Geoff Cooke tour. This morning I met a friend who stopped off in Kenya on his way home to UK from Zimbabwe. Apparently it went well considering that NRZ is currently on strike over unpaid salaries. There were some delays, which were frustrating for ace photographers who wanted a particular light for their shots, but the morning when the loco was posed on the Victoria Falls Bridge went to schedule. My friend was just happy that he had been able to see, hear and experience a big Garratt hauling a nine-coach train, with all the coaches in the old livery.
