Transnet Freight Rail Voices Concern At Increased Levels Of Violence In Thefts
The recent fatalities of several Transnet contract security officials due to criminals stealing overhead copper cables has prompted a call for action. Transnet Freight Rail strongly condemns the level of violence directed towards its security personnel who are responsible for securing the company’s infrastructure. According to Marius Bennett, General Manager of Security and Forensics at TFR, “These violent and murderous acts cannot go unchallenged and the perpetrators must face the full consequences of the law.
