Denmark - driving trailer

Post by John Ashworth »

Old-fashioned driving trailers standing in the yard at Helsingør alongside newer units. The old ones are reminiscent of some of the Australian pictures posted by Marc, with the drievr's cab on the roof.

The old ones give the impression of power. I'm not sure what those new ones with the rubber fronts look like - definitely not trains!

Interesting, though ugly. Also John I recall older trains in Holland had this distinguishing feature

Now that I've seen a few of these in action I realise they are not motor cars but are in fact unpowered driving trailers used on the rear of a locomotive-hauled train.

And by the way, Nathan, there doesn't appear to be any sun anywhere in Denmark these days.
