The Half London Hotel and Bar. This is based on a north African wargaming model, an MDF kit by Sarissa.

NB: There is a pub called the Half London in Kampala's Kabalagala area. I've been there (albeit many, many years ago), and that's what has inspired my model. It doesn't look exactly like the prototype, but it has the same sort of ambience!

A scratchbuilt block of flats, based on buildings you might see in the lower income urban areas of Kenya. It's just an offcut piece of MDF from some wardrobes that we had fitted, with stones, doors and windows printed free from the internet. It masks the join between two backscenes.

A police station, kitbashed from a card kit of a contractor's site office made from two shipping containers. It's not unusual to see police posts made from shipping containers like this, often donated by local businesspeople who want to have a police presence in their area.
