One of my favourites is the attached, which appeared on the London Underground and on the internet shortly after the British police executed a suspected terrorist bomber at a tube station, who subsequently turned out to be completely innocent.

British humour. There is nothing like like it anywhere else! It's their own unique antidote to the weather and the crowds in that otherwise "green and pleasant land".
