Calls for Beeching Way to be renamed in honour of Bluebell Railway
"How about, from March 23, Beeching Way is renamed Bluebell Way – recognising those who have brought the railway back to life for the town, rather than continuing to recognise those who all but killed it off?"
Beeching Way is named after Richard Beeching, who led reforms in the railways during the 1960s and is to this day associated with the mass closure of lines...
