Nathan wrote:With the countdown on to finish our class 19D befor our next train on 7Sept, some intense work has been going on.

The loco has been pressure cleaned by Les Labuschagne and his work force and even some of the old paint went with the cleaning!

Gabor and Phillip and the two new members were cleaning oilpots and the loco and fitting the Fireman side steps etc.

Robert and John were doing the usual technical things and Ben and Stanley were working on the CA tender preparing a new plate for insertion where the rusted one was removed.

Sunday saw Nathan and Zane and John and Spikkels plus Chris and Alfred from Hermanstad get stuck in to tidying up the ash and rubbish and then washing down the loco cab.

Painting of the loco frame and wheels was tackled by Zane and Nathan, unfortunately Zane having to depart early but Tony Attwell arrived and the painting was completed on the frame and wheels.

Urgent help needed for the coming weekend if we are to have her 100% ready. so please guys make yourselves available.

Cheers,
Nathan
