This was a private charter. Both our locos are still down, so this time Reefsteamers kindly lent us their 12AR no 1535 with their own footplate crew.

Unfortunately this trip was terminated at Koedespoort due to rioting on the line at Mamelodi, and the passengers had to proceed by bus.

Wild West Theme: but was the driver wearing a ten gallon hat (like this one on Conrail in New Jersey?)
