Although not a true dual purpose bridge as such, the old bridge at Norvalspont across the Orange (Gariep) River just below the Gariep Dam near Colesburg has served both puposes. It was once a railway bridge that was repurposed as a road bridge after a new railway bridge was built alongside it. Several spans of the original bridge were demolished in during the Boer War and subsequently rebuilt.
A picture of the two bridges is at: http://www.waschbank.co.za/images/gallery/17gal-big.jpg

More intersting information about the bridges here: http://sa.travel-directory.co/443/place ... ail-bridge. Norvalspont was also the site of a major concentration camp during the Boer War.
