Transnamib heads up

Post by Mel Turner »

There were sighting reports in December from Brazil of Transnamib C30EMP on the move (by road) from GE at Contagem

Assuming shipment was consolidated at the docks, vessel possibly due around now. No reports so far in the Namibian online press. Arrival probably under-wraps pending a politician grandstanding

Arrival will allow Transnamib to knock a number of 34 Class TE owned units off hire

Brazilian contact saying similar to Sheltam 3009-3020. Sheltam 3016 and 3020 were wrecked in Moz in mid 2012. Sheltam lease this class from their overseas principal, the hulks were purchased from the insurers, Sheltam 3021 is the unit rebuilt using the frame from 3020
