There are still long lines of Spanish carriages (and a few Alco locos) stored in various yards around BA, when imported were in too poor a condition for either use or rebuild. Imported by the Minister purely for the baksheesh.
Jaime was the conduit for channeling funds to the Kirchner's and the Peronist Party.
Cristina Elisabet Fernández de Kirchner who followed husband Néstor as El Presidenta, was paid around $US500k per unit on orders for around 150 locos (plus $US300k each on around 600 EMU/DMU) by Chinaman. So there are rich pickings for politicians who like to play at trains. Just ask Jacob Zuma.
