Photo by Frank Jux, October 1967, somewhere in East Africa...
There was a query on the East African Steam Yahoo group asking if anyone recognises the shed. Any takers?

Two replies already on the East African Steam group:
Definitely not in Tanganyika Central Line, as our locos had the vacuum brake system, and Kenya had the Westinghouse pumps.
At first glance I wondered if it was Gulu. However looking at a picture of Gulu shed it is not. However similar style and as 3136 appears to have been a Uganda engine I wonder if it is Kasese. I have never seen a picture of Kasese shed. Maybe someone has. Not sure what other sheds there were in Uganda. I would guess Tororo was an older shed rather the the 1950/60s very utilitarian style.

Another reply:
Looking for something else I came across a September 1969 allocation list for EAR and 3136 was then allocated at Tororo.

And another from Chas Rickwood:
I was with Frank Jux when he took the photo and have a colour slide somewhere of the same scene. Pretty sure that it is Tororo where we stopped off on our 1969 bash. Certainly not Gulu or Kasese as we did not visit those places. The shed allocation showing 3136 as a Tororo loco in 1969 is also indicative. Chas
