This DVD from Pentrex is the second in a set of three, and covers the next lost of loco's made by Alco.
And, it is as good as the first DVD - it continues the chronological history, again for each model giving production dates and numbers, as well as an overview of the engine and axle specifications. Footage of the models in operation are then shown - again much drama, noise and belching of black clouds of smoke that would oput steam engines to shame!
This volume covers the early 251-powered Alcos - the aptly named "notch-nosed wonders" - and covers them from their beginnings to the introduction of the Century line.
Alco models S-6, RS-11, RSD-12, RSD-15, T-6, RS-27, RS-32, and RS-36 diesels are all covered, as well as the Montreal Locomotive Works RS-18, RSC-14, FPA-4, S-13, and RS-23 units.
