I ran into this book some ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was amusing and is regarded by many as a classic.

A book about Fiennes career at British Railways - the end result is his career culminating in him being fired -hence the title!

A light read about an interesting (and sad) period in British Railway history.

The only problem with this book is that it is really difficult to find - I have been looking for some time and have yet to hit gold, Hopefully Ian Allen will republish soon! So if anyone has one......!
